Collection: A little bit about me…

Hello, my name is Karine. Married, a mother of three and partner of Margot, my faithful dog, I am a nutritionist working with geriatric clients. I divide my time between Île d'Orléans and our home in Quebec City.

For the past two years, I've given myself a precious gift: the gift of slowing down, amidst the frenetic pace of daily life, to paint. I'm on this journey thanks to the unwavering support of my partner, the love of my life, who believes in my dreams and encourages me to make them a reality.

My love for antiques naturally intertwined with my passion for art. This is how my canvases find their place in antique and vintage frames that I unearth during my treasure hunts in antique shops and flea markets. Each frame is a discovery that inspires and enhances my creations.

Self-taught in this endeavor, I found in oil painting a medium that resonates with me: a painting "that forgives," that offers the luxury of time. Its long drying time allows me to paint without noticing the hours passing.

I paint without a guideline, according to my desires, allowing myself to change style and theme from one canvas to the next. Each work is imbued with emotion, because painting is for me a refuge, a secret place where I can both dream and express what I feel.

Your encouragement, your messages, and the generous support of friends I met on Instagram have given me the courage to share my creations with the world today. Always without pretension, because painting remains for me first and foremost a moment of pleasure, time I simply give myself to create.

I firmly believe that we should adorn our walls with works that move us, that make us travel, dream, or reflect. Art is a much greater investment than simple decoration: it becomes a reflection of our emotions, our passions, and our story. It transforms a living space into a place where we feel completely ourselves.

Knowing that my paintings find their place in your home is the greatest compliment to me, and I will always be deeply touched by it.
